Texas Trails Bassmasters fished our third tournament of the 2011 – 2012 season at Lake Monticello on January 8, 2012.  Eleven members and one guest fished this event and brought 32 bass to the scales.  Albert Jordan took first with a limit weighing 4.80 pounds and had the big bass at 1.21 pounds.  Scott Fruge was second with five bass weighing 3.30 pounds and guest Ken Gilbreath rounded out the top three with a 3.05 pound limit.  Haden Sickles also weighed his limit of five bass.

The average bass weighed 0.66 pounds.  All were released alive.

Winners at Monticello were Albert Jordan (r), Scott Fruge, and Ken Gilbreath (l). 

Anglers are awarded points based on weight and finish position, starting with 100 for 1st place, 99 for second, etc.  Fifty points are awarded for anglers who enter a tournament but do not weigh a fish.  *Penalties are assessed for dead fish and late weigh-in.
